He Walks with me Through my Growth

Growing is not easy. It takes time, patience, love and most likely, all of the above.

As many of you know I just got married in January. While so far it has been the best couple months of my life, it comes with a lot of learning and growing. Learning how to submit to your husband and also be the one who is responsible for putting dinner on the table can be a process. Nearly every day, I find myself asking Lord, “God, what am I supposed to do now?”

He is the one who has blessed me with this life so He will be the one I run to – at least, He should be. So many times we run through life and forget to stop and ask, “Father what are you trying to tell me? What is it you need me to do next?” I am talking to myself here too.  One day I think I have it all under control and the next I am crashing to the ground.

As I have grown, I noticed how big Gods love is. Ladies, its big! Isaiah 40:28 says, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable.”

All God wants is for us to come to Him with all we have. It sounds challenging, yes, because it is. He wants to talk with us, whether that is through His word or a friend and if we listen carefully we can hear Him all over the place.

While we are growing, we must never forget to run to God for it all.  Not only does he deserve it and love it when we come to Him, but there is also grace when we forget to prioritize the wrong things.  There is always room to come back to His arms and apologize for not speaking to Him that day, week, month or even year.  He is our Lord and Father but He also wants to be our best friend.

“As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me!”  -Psalm 40:11

Growth is difficult and often painful for everyone, so don’t forget who is here to help you though it.

Love, Olivia
